Ippon Gym is a martial arts gym on Terrace Road in central Bournemouth, run by Jeff Lawson and dedicated to Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and Judo. Lawson, with more than twenty-five years on the front lines of competitive martial arts, created it to be free from intimidation and judgement, and it describes itself as a friendly, no-nonsense training gym welcoming anyone interested in improving their mental and physical fitness. Alongside group classes it runs open mat sessions, one-to-one training and a children's programme, and it is the Paraestra UK headquarters.
