The Rose & Crown is a friendly family pub at 178 Wareham Road in the village of Lytchett Matravers, popular with locals and run by proprietors Heather Campbell and Neal Russell, who have added a series of boutique bedrooms for overnight visitors. It serves real ale and home-cooked food from an extensive menu of light bites and sandwiches plus a daily blackboard of specials, including homemade vegetarian and gluten-free options, steak and ale pie and wild boar and apple faggots, with Sunday roasts. The pub hosts live music, a quiz night and other events.
