Halfway Inn Wareham

The Halfway Inn is a beautiful thatched pub at Norden, between Wareham and Corfe Castle in the heartland of the Purbecks, situated in stunning heathland at the heart of the Isle of Purbeck. Constructed of cob and purpose built as a thatched-roof farmhouse, it is believed to date back to the 16th century and retains original features including wattle and daub walls and flagstone floors. It was recorded as the Hixlade Head Inn in 1859 and as the Halfway House in 1896. Hall and Woodhouse purchased the property in 1997 and it is independently run by business partners James and Sam.
