Lynwood Veterinary Group provides friendly veterinary care for the pets of Dorset and traces its practice back to 1849, when Richard Stone Blake first established it in Wimborne; that practice moved to Lynwood House in the 1930s. It now has five branches, at Wimborne, Verwood, Bournemouth, Wareham and this one at Swanage, each with modern facilities. The group runs a Pet Health Plan for dogs and cats covering annual vaccinations, flea and worm control and two health check-ups a year, and trains nurses through the Lynwood School of Veterinary Nursing.
