Nixons Home Hardware is a family-run hardware shop in Swanage which says it cares about its customers and whose friendly, cheerful team are there to help with questions and advice. It is a member of Home Hardware, a group owned by the retailers it serves, which has over 400 members and which the shop describes as the largest organisation of its kind in the UK for independent hardware stores; that combined buying power, it says, lets members compete with high street names and DIY superstores on service and value. The shop also hires out easy-to-use carpet cleaning machines.
