The Mowlem

The Mowlem is Swanage's cultural venue and, it says, the only place in Purbeck bringing theatre, cinema, live music, comedy and community events together under one roof all year round. Its current building opened in 1967 and it reports that more than 26,000 visits are made through its doors. The venue has three spaces, the Auditorium, the Studio and the Showbar, and programmes cinema, comedy, family, community, music and theatre events. It is a charitable arts and entertainment venue supported by donations, a Take Your Seat scheme, gift vouchers and membership.
