Arnold Clark Automobiles Ltd describes itself as the United Kingdom's leading independently owned car retailer and one of the largest car dealer groups in Europe. It was founded by Sir Arnold Clark, who opened a single Glasgow showroom in 1954 after buying a Morris Ten Four with his demob money, restoring it and selling it at a profit. Today it sells more than 300,000 cars a year from Elgin to Exeter, with around 200 branches, 160 service centres and 17 accident repair centres, over 20,000 cars in stock and new cars from 32 manufacturers, alongside leasing, Motability and car buying.
