Nationwide Building Society is owned by its members rather than shareholders - anyone who banks, saves or holds a mortgage with it - and offers current accounts, savings and ISAs, mortgages, loans, credit cards, insurance and investments, with internet banking and an app used by over 7 million people. It gives 1 per cent of its pre-tax profits to charitable activities, is guided by a social purpose, and has promised through its Branch Promise to keep all of its branches open until at least the start of 2030.
