Barnardo's

Barnardo's is a children's charity working to help children and young people feel safer, happier, healthier and more hopeful, running over 1,000 services across the UK and helping hundreds of thousands of children, young people, parents and carers. It offers advice and practical support for young people and for parents and carers through its Family Space, arranges fostering and adoption, campaigns and influences policy, and raises funds through donations, fundraising, volunteering and its shops. Its founder Thomas Barnardo set up a ragged school for disadvantaged children in 1867.
