Barnardo's

Barnardo's is a UK children's charity running more than 1,000 services that help children, young people, parents and carers feel safer, happier, healthier and more hopeful. It offers advice and support for young people and for parents and carers through its Family Space, fostering and adoption services, campaigning and policy work, corporate partnerships and philanthropy, fundraising events and volunteering, and a chain of charity shops. It traces its origins to 1867, when its founder Thomas Barnardo set up a ragged school for disadvantaged children.
