Purbeck House Hotel

Purbeck House Hotel is a hotel at 91 High Street, Swanage, in a building constructed in 1875 by a man once known as the King of Swanage. The house holds many items relating to the history of England and of London in particular, including statues from the Royal Exchange, a tiled floor originally laid in the Houses of Parliament, an arch that once stood in Hyde Park, a balustrade and columns from Billingsgate Market, granite left over from the Albert Memorial and a gargoyle said to come from Westminster Hall. The main house is described as traditional and full of character.
