Swanage Folk Festival is a folk festival held in Swanage, described as the UK biggest folk dance festival and one of Dorset largest folk festivals. For one weekend a year the town fills with Morris dancers outside pubs, musicians playing informally by the sea, packed evening concerts, colourful processions, workshops, sessions, a ceilidh, a craft fair and children entertainment. Main stage concerts are fully seated, most events are free, and the voluntary not for profit festival is run by volunteers with any surplus income going to local good causes.
