The Friends of Victoria Hospital Wimborne run a charity shop in Wimborne in support of the town's community hospital. The charity was founded in 1935 and its stated purpose is to fundraise and allocate resources to support the delivery of first class services at Wimborne Hospital, working in partnership with health and care providers including Dorset HealthCare. Grants have funded surgical instruments, an ultrasound room upgrade, a cardiac ultrasound machine, ophthalmic and cataract equipment and a land purchase. It is governed by a committee of trustees, none of whom is paid.
