Cartwheel Inn

The Cartwheel Inn is a country pub and inn at Whitsbury, near Fordingbridge, on the edge of the New Forest where Hampshire meets Dorset and Wiltshire. Its 18th-century building was once a farm cottage and housed a wheelwright and a village bakery, whose oven can still be seen next to the bar. It serves seasonal British cooking with lunch, dinner and traditional Sunday roasts every week, keeps well-kept ales, and offers comfortable rooms for New Forest breaks, a function room and a takeaway. Behind the inn is Whitsbury Manor Stables, former home of the racehorse Desert Orchid.
