The Fisherman's Rest

The Fisherman's Rest is a pub and restaurant on All Saints Road, Lymington, Hampshire. Originally a private home called Grattens Cottage, it was granted a liquor licence in 1870, at which point it came to the attention of local smugglers and became a favourite haunt. It is a community-driven pub: in 1997 a group of 25 locals planned, funded and acted in their own charity pantomime production of Cinderella in the restaurant, and many of the cast are still regular drinkers there.
