Care and Relief for the Young, known as CRY, is a charity working to empower children in the world's most disadvantaged nations to rise beyond poverty under the leadership of local champions. It has been making an impact since 1992 and carries out relief work across more than 30 nations, mostly in the Global South, partnering with locally led children's homes, schools, churches, children's centres and paediatric clinics. Its four stated routes beyond poverty are empowering girls, enabling education, improving mental health and supporting refugees. It also runs charity shops.
