Hengistbury Head Visitor Centre

Visitor information and Land train to Mudeford Spit, in Wick, Bournemouth

hengistbury head, Broadway, Wick, Bournemouth, BH6 4EN

Hengistbury Head Visitor Centre stands on Hengistbury Head, south of Christchurch Harbour, where friendly staff and volunteers help visitors make the most of the headland. It invites people to walk in the footsteps of our ancestors, explore the rugged landscape and learn about the wildlife of the head, and is set up as a place to bring the whole family. A land train links the centre to Mudeford Sand Spit for gentle and easy access, a ferry runs to Christchurch, and cafes nearby serve tea, cake and more substantial meals. The site also publishes dog walking and how-to-find-us guidance.
